What People Say:

  • I want to recognize how incredibly helpful and dedicated the staff are at this senior living community. They consistently go above and beyond, showing patience, kindness, and professionalism in everything they do. It’s clear they truly care about the residents and work hard to create a positive environment. However, it can be disheartening to see how some residents treat the staff. There are times when employees are met with unnecessary rudeness or difficult behavior, even when they are simply trying to help. It’s important to remember that respect goes both ways. I also think this kind of environment can impact the overall community experience—when staff are treated poorly, it may limit the extra things they’re able or motivated to do, like organizing special events or going the extra mile for certain residents. The staff deserve appreciation and respect for all the effort they put in every day. Overall, the staff are truly the heart of this place, and they make a meaningful difference despite the challenges they sometimes face.

My grandfather stayed in assisted living at Sierra View and had an excellent experience. He continually praised the staff for their compassionate care and the food for its generous proportions.

I started here at Sierra View Homes in 2017. I was in the Terraces apartments for 6 months, then moved to the independent Garden Apartments for 4 years. After awhile my balance got off and you don't want to fall and be laying there for days, so I decided to move here to the Assisted Living where I'm checked on more often. I've been here for 2 years. I like it! I'm comfortable, I've saved money. They check in on me multiple times a day. It's quiet, and I sleep well. They have a great wellness center with the exercise machines where you can be seated and go as fast as you want. Exercising is so important! Today I did 3300 steps in 30 minutes. We have Sittercise every day. They even hosted a competition where we were competing for steps! Every day I do Sittercise, go out to the Wellness Center, then go to lunch. I visit with friends at lunch - you have a table so you get to know people. There are 2 tables of puzzles - I work with another friend (I do the edges, she fills it in). We usually meet there and do the puzzle together before dinner. They have movies that where you see your friends, and you can go visit other people on campus that you know. It's nice staying here on campus as you need more help because you keep in touch with your friends. The nurses and staff are great. They jump right in to help. Everyone is friendly here. They also drive me to my appointments. I know the drivers here - I'm a bit of a nervous passenger, so even though I could call other transportation, I prefer the Sierra View drivers. I would definitely recommend that people come to the assisted living. I'm very happy here!

We have had a very good experience with my mother-in-law being at Sierra View Homes in skilled nursing. We feel that she is well taken care of. There are a lot of activities for her to participate in and a lot of people to talk to and to assist her. We are grateful for the care that she is getting! Thank you to all at Sierra View Homes!

There are some people who go to work, do their jobs and go home, others take those jobs to a whole new level entirely. That is the employees of Sierra View Homes. People who work here, care, residents are now their family. Integrity and compassion is shown here everyday. When you walk in the doors, you can feel it.

Sierra View has carefully and conscientiously cared for my grandmother, mother and mother-in-law. The staff is caring and the facilities comfortable, attractive and well-maintained, plus the food is good and there are many activities for residents. Their rates are very reasonable whether for independent apartments, assisted living or skilled nursing care.

  • Sulfiati Harris My husband and I moved here last March, refugees from the snowy winter where we lived up near Grants Grove. The apartments here are airy and beautiful, and there are many amenities such as the evening meal in the dining room, lovely gardens here and there and reasonable pricing. Most of all, the kindness from both the staff and residents makes it an upbeat and happy place to live.

The care my mother is receiving at the Sierra View Skilled Nursing Facility is so good it brings tears to eyes. The entire staff - medical, social work, administrative, support, dining, dietary - everyone! - has been warm, kind, competent, responsive, proactive, and just plain helpful. Even when things have slipped through the cracks, as will inevitably happen when caring for a group of people with complex medical needs, they have been gracious, quick to respond and acknowledge, and take action. The dining room, aka Founders Room, is a hub of activity during the day, full of windows and light, often music, sometimes with Piano Rudy playing for the residents as they dine. 🥰 A variety of scheduled activities occur daily, both in the Founders Room and elsewhere in the facility, including The Bistro, a large, high-ceiling, many-windowed room where coffee and cookies and soft-serve ice cream is served up. Creative coloring, music and movies, “hand spa” aka full-on manicures, and gingerbread house making are just some of the opportunities for socializing, self-care, and creative engagement I’ve seen offered. But really, beyond responsive, competent care and social connection, the most pervasive and important element we are experiencing here is *kindness.* Real, present, grounded kindness, unforced and unhurried. I am so grateful that my mother has the opportunity to be cared for here. 💗

I am a first-time visitor, but I really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness i received as I met my friend there. It was a nice day, and they offered an outside visit if she would like to try it. Also brought her a blanket... My friend looked great and well cared for. The grounds are pleasant and "treed!" Thank you very much. Mary Frantz
